About the Business Learning Network
The Business Learning Network (BLN) consists of more than 15 area higher education providers and business organizations that unite to provide relevant, applicable and superior educational opportunities to Chamber members. These opportunities encourage professional growth and instill tools necessary for recruiting and retaining employees in today's ever growing and changing market.
In an effort to ensure our workplaces and community are responsive to a constantly changing workforce and marketplace, the BLN actively works with organizations through the When Work Works Workplace Flexibility initiative.
What We Do:
The BLN advocates for and educates the Rochester area business community to ensure a globally competitive workforce. The network exists to foster collaboration, networking and communication among a diverse group of businesses and educators.
+Collaboration
Collectively, the Business Learning Network looks at ways to foster and enhance business and education partnerships and educational opportunities. This is done through collaborative educational events and small group dialogues with business/education leaders.
+Networking
The Business Learning Network meets quarterly to have dialogue on topics important to competitive workforce and look at innovative ways workforce needs can be met through education and partnerships. The roundtable discussions happen quarterly and are open to business and education members.
+Communication
The Business Learning Network provides a communication link for business to educational opportunities. The BLN Events Calendar provides a connection to various credit and non-credit continuing education and professional development opportunities to ensure a strong workforce. The Chamber's Speakers Bureau is another resource that links businesses with facilitators on a variety of topic areas for members to utilize within their organization.
